Big congrats to Carsten, a former member of our LeibnizScience Campus graduate program, who has received the sponsorship award in the field of natural sciences from the Hans-und-Ruth-Giessen Foundation. The prize, worth €25,000, is awarded annually to exceptionally talented young scientists from Saarland. Carsten feels deeply honored to receive such a prestigious and generously endowed award in recognition of his work and the plans of the Darobactin project team to bring a new class of antibiotics closer to clinical application.
